Welcome Message
Student research has taken the forefront at LAU and across various universities in Lebanon; however, few events so far have aimed at bringing together undergraduate and graduate students to share their experiences in conducting research and sharing their findings with peers in the domain.
To achieve this goal, the Department of Social and Education Sciences aims to enhance the visibility of its Psychology program and LAU as a whole in the field of undergraduate research by hosting a National Psychology Research Day.
Hosted in memory of LAU Psychology Alumna Ms. Lamia Sabbah Ali-Ahmed, whose seminal 1959 thesis on child psychology underscores the important role of scientific research in the field, the National Research Day aims to invite students from psychology departments and programs across Lebanon to share their research findings and engage in presentations and discussions on the latest research and advancements across various areas of psychology, including clinical, epidemiological and social, among others.
Additionally, it fosters valuable cross-university research collaborations among students and faculty.
Undergraduate and graduate students need to submit their abstracts for review by the scientific committee to secure a spot for either an oral presentation or a poster presentation. Both published and unpublished studies are welcome.
