Denijal Jegić
Assistant Professor of Communication
Dr. Denijal Jegić is an assistant professor of communication in the Department of English and Creative Arts at LAU and coordinator of the communication and multimedia journalism programs. Previously, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in multimedia journalism and communication at LAU.
Research Interests
His multidisciplinary research focuses on critical theory, media representations, media activism, historiographies of communication, colonialism and resistance, and lies at the intersection of media, literature and cultural studies. In his prize-winning doctoral dissertation Trans/Intifada. The Political and Poetics of Intersectional Resistance, he has analyzed articulations of resistance in the Global South in poetry, prose, spoken word, rap and other forms of media. His dissertation was published as part of the monograph series “American Studies” (Heidelberg, 2019).
