Evelyn Dabaghi

Senior instructor of English

Evelyn Dabaghi is a full-time Instructor of English in the Department of English and Creative Arts, with extensive experience teaching all the courses in the English program sequence. She has been coordinating the introductory course, ENG009, since 2014.

Her M.A. thesis explored the integration of Shakespearean works into language instruction at the intermediate level, bridging her B.A. in Literature with her graduate specialization in language teaching.

Her teaching philosophy centers on engaging students actively in the learning process while helping them develop strong academic reading, critical thinking, and research writing skills. She is dedicated to fostering lifelong learning and empowering students to become independent, reflective thinkers and effective communicators in and outside college boundaries. In her classes, she employs a variety of active learning strategies to sustain engagement and promote deep understanding. She strongly believes in the value of the learning process itself, building knowledge systematically toward meaningful and lasting outcomes.
