Sami A. Garabedian is a senior instructor of physical education in the Department of Social and Education Sciences and senior director of athletics in Beirut. He joined LAU in 1994.

He has held several positions in sports since 1984, has participated in several educational workshops and seminars as lecturer and speaker, and has attended international conferences, forums and seminars on university and international sports.

He currently serves as the secretary of International Relations with the Lebanese Federation of University Sports and is also the Vice-Chair of the Education Committee of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and member of the Education and Development Committee of the Arab University Sports Federation (AUSF).
