Volodymyr Panzhev

Senior Instructor of Dance

Volodymyr Panzhev is a senior instructor of dance in the Department of Communication, Arts and Languages. He joined LAU in 2019 as a part-time faculty and later, in 2022, became a full-time faculty member.

Prior to joining LAU, Mr. Panzhev had extensive experience as a professional dancer, dance instructor, dance teacher coordinator, creative director, dance coach and choreographer. Since his move to Lebanon in 2006, he has been dedicated to studying Lebanese folk dance and has actively contributed to their theatrical development. By creating dance methods that cater to all age groups, he aims to preserve the tradition and make it accessible to a wider audience. During his 20 years of experience, he took part in multiple national and international productions, and has coached international dance companies.

Volodymyr holds a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts with a minor in Choreography, as well as a Master’s degree in Teaching Dance Disciplines from Kyiv National University of Culture and Art.

He is a member of various international dance festivals in the USA, Belgium, Germany, Ukraine, Hungary, China, Algeria, Bulgaria and Turkey, and has performed on stages such as London Coliseums (London, England), Kennedy Center (Washington DC, USA), Palais des Congrès de Paris (Paris, France), National Center for the Performing Arts (Beijing, China), Royal Opera House Muscat (Muscat, Oman), National Theatre of Bahrain (Bahrain) and locally in International Festivals Beiteddine, Baalbeck, among many others.
