SDGs in the Mathematics Courses
The Mathematics curriculum at Lebanese American University (LAU) is designed to equip students with a strong background in the skills of logic, reasoning and critical thinking. The program emphasizes strong theoretical foundations and a problem-solving approach that encourages students to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world problems. In particular, Applied and Computational Mathematics provide many tools to solve some of the world’s most pressing and challenging problems, thereby playing an important role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG9) set by the United Nations.
