Creative Writing - Changing the World: One Word at a Time (Beirut Campus)
This summer, step into a creative space where your voice matters. Over five inspiring days, young writers will explore how stories shape our world—through fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry. Whether you’ve been writing for years or are just curious to try, this camp will help you find your style, your story, and your voice. During the first three days, we’ll dive into non-fiction and fiction, experimenting with storytelling inspired by your memories, your neighborhood, your imagination, and the world around you. Through guided writing sessions, story-building techniques, and playful prompts, you’ll learn how to turn real experiences into powerful narratives—or invent entirely new worlds of your own. On Thursday and Friday, we switch gears and explore the music of language through poetry. You’ll work with images, rhythm, and voice to write poems that feel personal, bold, and honest.By the end of the camp, you’ll have a set of original pieces and the chance to share your work in a warm, supportive environment—celebrating what makes your voice unique.
The writers of the best three creative pieces will receive LAU scholarships if they enroll in the BA in English Program.
