Workshop: “Qualitative research methods in Social Sciences: Analyzing interviews and open-ended responses”

The Department of Social Sciences, Psychology Program, hosted a  workshop on: Qualitative research methods in Social Sciences: Analyzing interviews and open-ended responses facilitated by Dr. Bassel Akar, an Assistant Professor of Education at the Faculty of Humanities - Notre Dame University.

The workshop was held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 in Science Bldg. Room 607-608, Byblos Campus and in Nicol 222, Beirut Campus via videoconference.

 

Aims

In this workshop, participants were engaged with interview transcriptions and a qualitative-based survey pack to examine approaches for organizing responses in a reliable way and making sense of emerging themes.
