Workshop on Teaching Investigative Journalism

The Communication Arts department (Journalism emphasis) and Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism organized a three-day workshop on LAU’s Beirut campus, to train journalism faculty in the art of teaching investigative journalism.

Participants included instructors and administrative officials from communication schools in Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.

The lead trainer, Dr. Mark Hunter, used his experience as veteran investigative journalist and scholar both in the US and France to speak about history, methodology, research, writing style and ethics.

The workshop ran from the 13th to the 15th of August.
