The CCT Computing Summer Camp

The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics, in collaboration with Computer & Communication Technology (CCT), is organizing its fifth annual computing summer camp.

The camp is a five-day course that will take place in Beirut starting June 29 and in Byblos starting July 13th. The course aims to give students an appreciation of university-level Computer Science by introducing them to Java programming and mobile development. Participation will be free of charge and will mainly target students in Grades 10 and 11.

Schools are hereby invited to select a maximum of three students to participate in the camp. Selected students are expected to have noticeable interest in Computing (Programming, in particular).

Due to space restrictions, the camp can only accommodate a limited number of students. Therefore, candidates will be admitted on a first-come first-served basis with the intention of accepting students from as many schools as possible.

The summer camp will culminate in a project with prizes awarded to the top performing students. Candidates will also have the opportunity to secure a scholarship to the Computer Science Program at LAU.

If interested, submit your application here as soon as possible.
