LAU Alumnus and Faculty Member Wins Best Lebanese Motion Picture

On February 25, 2015, the Lebanese Cinema Movie Guide Awards honored the best Lebanese & International movies during a prestigious and glamorous night, which began with the stars, actors, celebrities and film directors posing on the red carpet.

The event then moved to Vox Max, where the award ceremony began. Award presenters included Cynthia Khalife, Daniella Rahme, Wissam Hanna, Cherine Keyrouz, Christine Choueiry, the NRJ Morning Live Crew, Chantale Mhanna, and more Lebanese celebrities.

Communication Arts graduate, Dr. Mahmoud Hojeij, who is also teaching at LAU won the Best Lebanese Motion Picture Award for his feature film “Stable Unstable”. This movie had previously been screened by the department of Communication Arts, followed by a Q&A with the director. 

The results were compiled after a period of public voting which lasted for 2 months on The Lebanese Cinema Movie Guide website, and the Jury Members included Amin Dora, Cynthia Khalife, Emile Chahine, Raya Abi Rached, Jasmina Najjar, Marie-Therese Maalouf, Elias Doummar, Cherine Keyrouz and Mohamad Hijazi.
