Discussion With Melani Cammett on Communitarian Politics in the Middle East

On November 25, 2015 The  Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution hosted a discussion with Professor Melani Cammett  on Communitarian Politics in the Middle East.

Dr. Melani Cammett is a Professor of Government at Harvard University specialize in the political economy of development and the Middle East. Her research focuses on governance and the politics of social service provision by public, private and non-state actors in the Middle East as well as identity politics in the region. Her book publications include A Political Economy of the Middle East, Compassionate Communalism: Welfare and Sectarianism in Lebanon, The Politics of Non-State Social Welfare, and Globalization and Business Politics in North Africa: A Comparative Perspective.

This event is part of Associate Professor Imad Salamey’s class titled “Post-Arab Spring Communitarianism”.
