CAL Department, Danish Embassy Collaborate for Classical Music Concert at LAU
The Department of Communication, Arts & Languages (CAL) organized a classical music concert on June 9, in Irwin Hall Theatre on the Beirut campus, in collaboration with the Danish Embassy in Lebanon.
The concert featured LAU faculty member Dr. Reem Deeb, Soprano Simon Duus, Danish Bass Baritone at the Royal Danish Opera, Jacob Faber Silén, Danish diplomat and flutist, and pianist Olga Bolun.
The musicians played a selection of operatic arias, Danish songs, and piano and flute pieces.
In attendance was Dr. Cathia Jenainati, dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Vahid Behmardi, chairperson of the CAL Department, in addition to the members of the Council of Deans, faculty and students.
