The Explorers Program
The Explorers classroom caters to children aged 1.5 to 2.5 years. The classroom has its own child-friendly lavatory, a one-way glass mirror for parents’ observations and a direct access to the playground. It has been purposefully designed to help children in finding the transition phase from home to school as smooth as possible. It offers children a rich, interactive and stimulating learning environment to explore and investigate, while learning through play.
The classroom is divided into learning centers including blocks and construction, manipulatives, dramatic play, science discovery, sand and water, reading, sensory and music centers. Teachers use a variety of sensory activities as they follow the project-based learning approach. Through balanced learning experiences, toddlers acquire independence and self-help skills and learn how to be responsible and self-confident.
A great amount of time is spent on social and friendship activities that are fundamental to the positive and healthy development of the child’s self-esteem. Children learn how to interact with each other and how to make good choices.
