The Scientists Program

The Scientists classroom caters for children aged 2.5 to 3.5 years old. The classroom has its own child-sized lavatory, a one-way glass mirror for parents’ observations and a direct access to the multi-purpose room. It has an inviting atmosphere and offers children a rich, interactive and stimulating learning environment to explore and investigate, while learning through play.

There is a variety of carefully designed centers that are richly resourced in order to attract children’s curiosity and promote the different areas of their young development. The learning centers include blocks and construction, manipulatives, dramatic play, science discovery, sand and water, reading and sensory play.

Throughout the day, teachers continuously engage children in learning groups. They follow the project-based learning approach and take into consideration children’s interests to integrate science, math, language arts, music, drama and art. Children also learn how to grow a responsible behavior towards their friends, teachers and the environment. Preschool readiness skills are greatly incorporated in the program. Thus, our graduating preschoolers are academically, socially and emotionally well trained for kindergarten and future schooling.
