The Institute of Psychotraumatology (IPT) at LAU is a pioneering, interdisciplinary center committed to the research, clinical advancement, policy engagement and public education on trauma and its impact across the lifespan. The IPT focuses on developmental as well as war- and conflict-related trauma—intergenerational, collective and cumulative trauma—in addition to displacement and psychosocial healing in Lebanon and beyond.
We welcome engagement from graduate students, early-career researchers, clinicians, policy analysts, humanitarian staff, artists and scholars with a focus on trauma, mental health and psychosocial well-being. The IPT is also open to proposals for partnerships and collaborative projects with academic institutions, NGOs, research centers, government agencies and international organizations aligned with our mission.
