Physical Sciences
The Department of Physical Sciences offers courses that cover both theoretical concepts and practical applications. Students delve into topics such as organic and inorganic chemistry, classical and quantum mechanics and physical chemistry.
Besides courses intrinsic to its curricula, the department fulfills LAU’s Liberal Arts Curriculum in scientific literacy and provides several courses tailored to the chemistry, bioinformatics and computer science programs, as well as LAU’s pharmacy, medicine, nursing and engineering programs. The department’s programs emphasize integrated laboratory experiences, providing students with hands-on experience in experimental techniques.
